Howdy, Neighbor is a collection of works by Trueing [Joshua Metersky & Aiden Bowman] and the Japanese glass artist Baku Takahashi — created between Queens, New York and Munakata, Fukuoka Prefecture.

Combining scientific glasswork with coloring inspired by the phenomenon of atmospheric ‘scattering’ — Half-light is informed by the perceived tones of the sky at dusk, the result of small particles altering the direction of light rays in the sky.

The Lescaze Chair references the architect who introduced glass brick to the United States in 1934 with his seminal modernist townhouse renovation at 48th Street. Here, the material is similarly deployed for both its structural and aesthetic qualities.

Par, a lighting collection for Sight Unseen's Norway x New York hews neither to American nor Norwegian aesthetics. Meaning ‘Pair’ in Norwegian, it’s design references a coupling of shapes, nationalities, and the designers’ sensibilities.
